A Successful LAMMA 2025
30th January 2025
APE UK were in attendance LAMMA 2025 on 15-16 January 2025.
We caught up with our members/partners including Berry Global, KUHN Farm Machinery UK Ltd, Cotesi UK, Coveris Group, Tama Uk, Zeus , made new connections and spoke with many farmers from all over the UK, spreading the recycling word!
Our “Count the bales” competition attracted players of all ages who attempted to count or guess the number of bales on a very large field. John Wood Livestock, who farms in Dorset won on the first day with the closest number by 1, and James Skidmore who farms in the Northeast of England won on the second day with the exact count.
As a not-for-profit organisation, we operate as a catalyst across the industry, the one organisation focused on agri-plastics recycling, working with the industry and government, to develop and implement solutions address the low rate of farm plastics collection and recycling in the UK (30% compared to 70-95% in comparable European countries).
Our focus is fully on providing solutions for farmers that are cost effective, work in their area, and are easy to access and on informing farmers about how best to manage plastics post use to make recycling as effective and low cost as possible.
